FACULTY OF BIOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Dr Karolina Rudnicka - Ambassador of the ScienceHub project at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection. She gained experience in acquiring and implementing research grants, managing commercial projects (over 20) in cooperation with domestic and foreign partners, e.g. in medical devices, microbiological diagnostics, dietary supplements, in vitro and in vivo diagnostic tests. She leads the research team that is part of the OsteoRegNET consortium "Multifunctional biologically active composites for use in regenerative medicine of the skeletal system", which in 2021 was awarded the Vice-Rector of the University of Lodz "Bonuses for Grants" for a high-activity in raising funds for research. Her scientific interests include the pathogenesis of H. pylori infections, research on bioactive substances with pro-regenerative, osteoinductive and immunomodulatory effects, and research on the safety and effectiveness of biomaterials. Author and co-author of 12 patent applications, two implementations on the domestic and foreign market, and 64 publications with a total IF=190. Representative of the University of Lodz in the Cluster for Novel Medical Technologies, CEMAT. National Delegate of the international EuroMicroPh network (COST Action 18113). Chairwoman and vice-chairwoman of national and international scientific/educational conferences (BSS 2020, MIKROBIOT 2018, MIKROSTUDENT 2017; MeetUp 2019). Academic teacher, scientific supervisor and promoter of master's and bachelor's theses. She completed numerous courses in didactic competence, communication and project management (PRINCE2 methodology). Certified academic tutor. Coordinator of the Masters of Didactics program (ed.4) and university tutoring coordinator. Consultant and expert in funding agencys (NCBiR, EMAG, RDSFund, KRSiO). A supporter of interdisciplinary cooperation, implementing research projects, e.g. with teams from the Wrocław University of Technology, the Jagiellonian University, the Kraków University of Technology, the University of Gdańsk, the Łukasiewicz Network Institute, the Łódź University of Technology and others. Privately, a fan of Polish design of the 70s-80s and an amateur in travelling and fishing.

 

FACULTY OF CHEMISTRY

Dr hab. Łukasz Półtorak, prof. UŁ - Science Hub UL Ambassador at the Faculty of Chemistry. He works at the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Lodz. He is a team leader of the Electrochemistry@Soft Interfaces team, the 3D printing lab facility, and is a member of the University of Lodz Young Scientists Development Council. His scientific interests cover electrochemistry, chemical sensors, new materials (electro)synthesis, and fabrication derived from 3D printing technology. Dr. hab. Łukasz Półtorak gained experience in research facilities located in France and The Netherlands. He co-authored a number of publications and is/was a leader of a few scientific projects. 

 

FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND SOCIOLOGY

Dr hab. Aneta Krzewińska prof. UŁ - Associate Professor, a sociologist, Ambassador of the Science Hub project at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology at the University of Lodz, head of the Department of Methods and Techniques of Social Research UŁ. She implemented 40+ qualitative and quantitative research studies. Her scientific interests include deliberative techniques, social consultations, social research methodology. She is actively searching for new tools to collect citizens’ opinions and learn about the mechanisms of the research tools’ acculturation. She carries out methodological tests on the techniques of group decision making and consensus reaching. She worked on implementing the participatory budgeting in the city of Łódź and designed public consultations using deliberative techniques in such areas as space planning, revitalization, culture, science. She has carried out numerous studies in cooperation with local government, private companies, and NGOs. 

FACULTY OF PHILOLOGY

Dr Aleksandra Makowska - Science Hub UL Ambassador at the Faculty of Philology at University of Lodz. She works at the Department of Specialized Languages and Intercultural Communication where she conducts research on specialised communication. Her scientific interests include languages of science, business and sports. Her scientific activities revolve around languages of scientists in the fields of new technologies, different aspects of teaching Business English and specialised Polish-English translation. In her scientific and teaching activities she combines two lines of her education: linguistics and management. As a qualified teacher of English, she ran courses of general English and its specialised varieties at language schools. She is also an examiner and authorised TOEFL-IBT trainer. In 2023 she completed a didactic course for academic teachers Masters of Didactics.  

 

FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY AND HISTORY

Dr hab. Inga B. Kuźma, prof. UŁ –  Science Hub UL Ambassador at the Faculty of Philosophy and History. An ethnologist and cultural anthropologist at the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology of the University of Łódź; she is the head of the Center of Social Innovation at UŁ [CEIN]; takes part in the Interdisciplinary Gender Seminar at CEIN. She practices engaged and public anthropology for that she is involved also in strategic and on social policy projects not only as a researcher (hence she participates, e.g., in the Council for Equal Treatment at UL, and in the Council for Solving Homelessness Problem at the Mayor of Łódź). She is acting closely with NGOs (e.g., as a board member of the Łódź Women's Trail Foundation or participates, among others, in the work of the Łódź Diversity Coalition)

 

FACULTY OF MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTER SCIENCE

Dr inż. Artur Hłobaż–  Science Hub UL Ambassador at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. Works at the Department of Applied Computer Science in a research and teaching position. Manager and contractor of both national and international projects of the NCBiR, NCN, Erasmus+. He specializes in the security of networks and computer systems. Certified CISCO CCNA, CCNP and CyberOPS instructor. Promoter of over 60 diploma theses, the vast majority of which were carried out in cooperation with the socio-economic environment and business. 

 

FACULTY OF EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES

dr Marcin Muszyński, Science Hub UL Ambassador at the Faculty of Educational Sciences. Dr Muszyński has been working as an adjunct in the Department of Andragogy and Social Gerontology at the University of Lodz since 2004. He fulfils his duty as a researcher as well as an academic teacher. From 2010-2012, he was the project manager and participant in international projects dedicated to educational gerontology. He is a member of the Academic Andragogy Association and the Polish Gerontological Society and a founding member of the Association of Social Gerontologists. He is an author of studies in the field of andragogy and social gerontology. His main research interests focus on the theoretical and methodological foundations of social gerontology and adult learning theories. He also serves as Vice-Editors-in-Chief for the peer-reviewed gerontological journal - Exlibris Social Gerontology Library Journal. 

He has many years of experience conducting one-on-one coaching sessions and supporting (married) couples in dealing with conflicts and regrettable incidents. He completed studies in professional coaching and Gottman therapy courses. He uses his knowledge and skills daily in his work with clients at the Academic Support Center of the University of Lodz. 

THE FACULTY OF LAW AND ADMINISTRATION

Dr Izabela Florczak - Dr Izabela Florczak - Ambassador of the Science Hub project at the Faculty of Law and Administration. Dr Florczak works at the Labour Law Department of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz, where she conducts research on various aspects of the labour market. While practising as a legal advisor, she actively cooperates with the business community. Since 2017, she has been involved in projects related to the performance of paid internships by UL Students in cooperation with the external environment.  

 

FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT

Dr hab. Paweł Głodek prof. UŁ- Science Hub UL Ambassador at the Faculty of Management. Works as Associate Professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial Policy. Lecturer in entrepreneurship, innovation management and technology commercialisation. Experienced researcher and project manager in national and international projects (founded by EC, Erasmus+, LLP, NCN etc.). Professional and research interest in technology entrepreneurship, digital entrepreneurship, business development and knowledge commercialization. Innovation management, innovation financing and technology commercialisation consultant, certified business coach.
